ISI presented interim results of the media monitoring

On November 2nd, at a press conference at BTA, Sofia, the Institute for Social Integration (ISI) presented interim results of the media monitoring of the elections campaign of the main candidates for President of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The media monitoring is within a joint project of ISI and the Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS) - Brussels. The project is implemented for the sixth consecutive year and, in addition to the media monitoring during elections campaign, it includes also monitoring of the electoral legislation and of the Election Day.

Through the media monitoring, the team of the Institute for Social Integration monitors and analyzes media environment in Bulgaria in the context of the upcoming elections for President and Vice president. The monitoring is divided into 2 main parts. The first is quantitative monitoring and analysis of the media coverage of the main candidates, and the second - analysis of the key messages of the politicians and the political parties that reach the Bulgarian citizens through the media in the country.

The press conference was attended by Katia Koleva - Chairman of the Board of ISI, Stefan Georgiev - Team Coordinator for the media monitoring, and Stoyanka Balova - National coordinator of the civil observers.
