The Institute for Social Integration (ISI) - Sofia and the Foundation for European and Progressive Studies (FEPS) – Brussels, organize a conference "Employment Growth and Prosperity - European Policies on National Solutions", which will be held on October 17, 2012 (Wednesday) in "Royal 3” Hall of hotel "Sheraton" from 09:30 to 15:30.

The issue of employment growth and prosperity is very important for Bulgaria in the context of European development. Bulgaria faces serious challenges on its way to sustainable social and economic development, which will create conditions for overcoming unemployment. There is a need to develop alternative policies to replace the current neoliberal policy and to create prospects for our country. Our goal is to place employment growth and prosperity in the focus of the public agenda and politicians.

In discussions with leading experts from FEPS and ISI, including: Mr. Sergey Stanishev, Chairman of the Bulgarian Socialist Party and President of PES; Mr. Alfred Gusenbauer, Chairman of the Research Program "Next Left" and former Chancellor of Austria; Mr. Georgi Pirinski, Deputy Chairman of the Bulgarian Socialist Party and Vice President of the National Assembly, and other stakeholders, an analytical and informed opinion will be sought for overcoming the double challenges on the way to achieving higher employment and prosperity.
