The Institute for Social Integration (ISI) - Sofia, in partnership with the Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS) - Brussels, for the fourth year monitored the pre-election and election process in Bulgaria. Both organizations aim at supporting democratic, transparent and fair elections for local authorities and a national referendum, at achieving a deterrent effect on potential violations of the upcoming elections, and at increasing citizens’ participation in the electoral process.

The monitoring follows four stages: analysis of the electoral legislation, information campaign, media monitoring and observation of the Election Day.
