Media coverage of the sociological research - part of the agenda of the Civil Board
The fifth session of the Civil Board for Free and Fair Elections was closed. The main issues that were raised were related to improper disclosure and mass distribution of sociological research data. According the law, any such information, published in media, must be accompanied by a so called "passport", which should state clearly and specifically who assigned the study, which was the contracting agency and who funded it.
Another topic of the Board was the campaign’s funding, announced by the data from the public register of the Court of Auditors. Professor Emilia Drumeva explained that the most common violations, according to the experience from previous elections, were connected to non-disclosure of donors and unpresenting a declaration of origin of the funds.
