The Institute for Social Integration /ISI/ participates in the establishment of Public Council at the Central Elections Commission /CEC/. The Constituent Assembly was held on March 31, 2014 under the provisions of the new Electoral Code.

The Public Council is an advisory body at CEC, with the primary aim to assist in ensuring transparency, democracy and fairness in the electoral process. Its founding members were representatives of 11 Bulgarian NGOs, which had participated as election observers. The inclusion of new members will be decided by CEC, after nomination by the Public Council.
