The Supreme Cassation Prosecution informs that till 05.09.2013 (Thursday), on the occasion of signals for allegations of crimes, committed against the political rights of citizens (Article 167 - 169 CC), for the entire country, preliminary checks and pre-trial production were initiated as follows:

1. Files - 78 total, 57of which have been finalized with orders for refusal to initiate an investigation. For the remaining 21 cases, the preliminary checks continue.

1. 2.      Pre-trial proceedings – 26 total, the investigations are active. In twelve (12) pre-trial proceedings, the investigation is for criminal activity, confined to the organization of offering or giving away material benefits in order to solicit persons to cast their votes in favor of a particular candidate or a party.

In 2 (two) of the cases, the investigation is for the formation and leadership of a group, aiming at committing crimes against the political rights of citizens.

1. 3.      Besides the pre-trial proceedings, given above, two (2) cases of crimes under Art. 325 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism) and Art. 216 of CC (destruction and damage) have been formed, which are related to the upcoming elections.
