In the course of joint good practice since 2011 between Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, BSP and Institut for Social Integration for providing publicity and opportunity for debate on BSP’s government projects, is forthcoming new public discussion on environmental government project. It is under the heading “New green growth: sustainable development for nature, people and economy”. It will be held on Wednesday, 18 of april 2012, 10,30 a.m., Hall # 8 in The National Palace of Culture (NDK).   

The project is elaborated form environment and climate change council in BSP’s National Council, with Atanas Kostadinov, as chairman.

Topics to be discussed:

For nature: Accessible and high-quality water supplies; Sustainable natural environment.

For people: waste matter – not a weight, but resources; “Green cities in Bulgaria; Perspectives of EU funding and Bulgaria’s goals.   

For economy: Perspectives for new low-carbon industry; Integration of tourism and environment; Green jobs.
Employers, NGOs Representatives, Unions, Academics, Experts, Statesmen and Members of National Assembly and European Parliament to be invited.

In this Public Discussion also will take part Chair of National Council of BSP and President of PES, Sergei Stanishev.
